Lishui is a state-level new energy vehicle industry base and one of the four demonstration areas for new energy electric vehicles in the countryside of the State Grid. In recent years, Lishui District has actively responded to the national new energy strategy, regarded the construction of charging piles as an important part of rural revitalization, and successfully achieved full coverage of charging piles in 37 administrative villages in the district through scientific planning and precise layout, and took the lead in building a “village-to-village” (administrative village) network of new energy vehicle charging facilities in the province.
“Since the charging pile was built in the village, it has not only made it convenient for us, but also brought more popularity!” In the parking lot of the red Li Lane scenic spot, Mr. Li, the owner of the new energy vehicle, said that the village has been adding charging piles, and more and more tourists are driving electric vehicles to play and stay, and Li Lane is more lively.Lixiang Village is a microcosm of the “village-to-village” work of Lishui charging facilities, relying on rich red tourism resources, the village has attracted a large number of tourists to drive to play. In September last year, Lishui District Power Supply Company put into operation 10 public charging piles in Lixiang, with an electricity capacity of 600 kVA, which not only improved the service quality of the scenic spot, but also drove the popularization and use of new energy vehicles. In order to meet the growing demand for charging in rural areas, in January this year, the power supply department moved six 80-kilowatt charging piles with low usage rates in the surrounding area to Lixiang Scenic Area, once again improving the charging service capacity.
In view of the problems such as the low expected income of charging piles in some rural areas and the weak willingness of social capital investment, Lishui District Power Supply Company strives to build a “5-minute charging circle” by optimizing the layout of the rural charging service network. “At present, the power supply department flexibly adjusts the configuration of charging piles according to the actual use of charging facilities in various regions, relocates or transforms charging stations with low utilization rates, and focuses on promoting the extension of public charging facilities to key villages and rural construction demonstration villages.” Liu Zhengsheng, deputy general manager of Lishui District Power Supply Company, said.
In terms of operation and maintenance management of charging piles, Lishui District Power Supply Company organizes a professional team to regularly maintain and inspect charging piles to ensure that the equipment is in good operating condition. At the same time, relying on platforms such as the Nanjing Internet of Vehicles, real-time monitoring and rapid response to charging pile failures can be realized.
Nowadays, in various villages in Lishui, charging piles have become a different landscape, which not only solves the charging anxiety of new energy vehicle owners in rural areas, but also provides a strong impetus for rural green travel and sustainable development. Up to now, there are currently 1,323 public charging facilities in rural areas of Lishui, with a cumulative charging capacity of 581.24 MWh from January to June 2024, an increase of 6.8% over the same period in 2023.
With the continuous development of the new energy vehicle industry and the in-depth implementation of the rural revitalization strategy, Lishui District is actively exploring a new path for the deep integration of new energy vehicles and rural revitalization. At present, the district has launched charging pile construction projects in a number of natural villages, realizing comprehensive coverage from administrative villages to natural villages, bringing more convenience and benefits to the development of rural industries and residents’ lives, and continuing to write a new chapter in rural revitalization.
