On March 2026, the signing ceremony for the Jiangsu Xinhan High-Performance Resin and Composite Materials Integrated Project was held. Chairman Yan Liuxin of Jiangsu Xinhan New Materials Co., Ltd. stated at the signing ceremony that the continuous investment in Jiangbei New District is the recognition of the development prospects of the district by the enterprise, and it is also a strategic choice of deeply investing in Jiangbei and achieving long-term win-win results.
Steadily establishing a presence in Jiangbei and continuously investing in the district is not only a continuous investment by an enterprise in the district, but also a two-way pursuit of “patience” and “confidence”, “determination” and “perseverance”.
01 As an enterprise, one must first maintain patience
Yan Liuxin started his business in the 1990s and founded Xinhanxin Materials in 2008, which was located in Nanjing Jiangbei New Materials Science and Technology Park. During that period when the domestic chemical industry was undergoing a transformation from extensive production to high-end and refined production, Xinhanxin Materials targeted a niche market in the chemical field – “aromatic ketones”.
“This is a widely used product category, but at that time, our domestic enterprises were just starting out, and there was a huge gap and deficiency in the industry. However, with the continuous changes in the market and the rapid rise of the downstream high-end application market, I felt that this was exactly an excellent opportunity. We needed to take advantage of this opportunity to fill the gap,” Yan Liuxin said.
The application scope of aromatic ketone products is very wide. They are used in flavors and fragrances, cosmetics, special engineering plastics, pharmaceuticals and pesticide intermediates. Such extensive product application is bound to attract some enterprises to pursue low cost and high profit, making it difficult to do well and precisely. However, Xinhanxin Materials did not blindly chase market trends but chose to “stick it out” in the niche field of aromatic ketones. Through continuous breakthroughs, Xinhanxin Materials overcame the technical barriers of core products such as DFBP (di-fluoro-diphenyl ketone) and HAP (para-hydroxybenzaldehyde ketone), and also made forward-looking preparations for the PEEK industry chain, laying the groundwork for later rapid development.
“Specialization and refinement, differentiated competition” is Xinhanxin Materials’ positioning and philosophy. The goal of the enterprise is to achieve the substitution of domestic production of high-end products. Maintaining patience, continuously deepening, and overcoming bottlenecks are the key paths for Xinhanxin Materials to grow from an industry follower to a leader.

From a start-up company to a national-level specialized, innovative “small giant” enterprise, it is not something that can be achieved overnight. What is needed is “the strategic determination of a decade of hard work”. This determination is reflected in the non-hasty policy support, the full respect for the technological breakthrough cycle of the enterprise, and the firm support given in the face of market fluctuations.

If patience is the foundation, then confidence is the accelerator. Xinhanxin Materials responded to patience with “three rounds of investment and continuous expansion” and consolidated confidence.
“Building the integrated project of high-performance resins and composite materials is our third major investment in the new district,” Yan Liuxin said. “And the previous two investment collaborations with Jiangbei also always revolved around the upgrading of the enterprise’s main business and the industrial layout. During this process, whether it was the approval process or financing, Jiangbei provided tremendous support.”
The first investment was to establish a large-scale production base for specialized chemical products, which enabled the rapid expansion of production capacity for products such as DFBP and HAP. The second investment focused on product technology upgrades and the expansion of high-end production capacity, further optimizing processes, improving products, and deepening cooperation with global customers.
When enterprises have confidence in their future prospects, the new district can convey that confidence to more people.

03 Don’t follow the trend, but make a firm decision to do better
Of course, as the first enterprise in the country to achieve mass production of DFBP and now the one that occupies the largest market share of DFBP globally, the success of Xinhanxincai also stems from a forward-looking determination.
Since entering the field of fine chemicals, Xinhanxincai “does not follow the trend and does what it is own”, and with unwavering determination, it has been striving to overcome difficulties on the “product at the top of the engineering plastics pyramid” – PEEK.
The chemical name of PEEK is polyetheretherketone, which is a special type of polymer material. As a high-end engineering plastic, PEEK has an 8-fold higher strength than aluminum alloy, and its density is approximately one-third of that of aluminum alloy. This material is both hard and lightweight, and in most cases, it can replace metals, alloys, and ceramics. It is gradually being widely applied in humanoid robots, new energy vehicles, aerospace, gears, 3D printing, medical fields, and other areas.
“Since we have made up our minds to take the path of refinement, we must set higher technical standards and do things that others cannot do. In this way, no matter how the external environment changes, we will have sufficient confidence.” In Yan Liuxin’s determination, there is no word like “about right”, only “optimal solution”.
Xinhane New Materials mainly focuses on the upstream raw material DFBP. For every ton of PEEK produced, 0.75 tons of DFBP are required. Apart from the British Wagers (an important PEEK producer) which has some self-owned production capacity and India which has a small amount of production capacity, the largest DFBP producer in the world is Xinhane New Materials. It has become a Class A supplier for the world’s top three PEEK producers: British Wagers, Belgian Solvay, and German Evonik.
On the other hand, in the cosmetics industry, the world’s largest producer of the key raw material HAP is Xinhanxincai, and it also supplies products to internationally renowned cosmetic raw material manufacturers. That is to say, as long as you buy a bottle of cosmetics labeled with HAP, it is very likely that it uses the products of Xinhanxincai.
04 Persisting with this approach, I believe that we and the new district can achieve long-term mutual benefit.
Rather than searching for the phoenix everywhere, it is better to raise the young birds into eagles. Persistence is key to achieving long-term mutual benefit.
Recalling the early days of the company, Xinhane New Materials collaborated with Jilin University to jointly tackle processes and materials. Yan Liuxin and his team visited Jilin University time and again, persevering without giving up, maintaining a “freshness” for technology and products, and making sure to bring to life what they wanted to do.
The new district also adheres to perseverance. Over the past 18 years, Jiangbei has always been concerned about and supported the development of Xinhane New Materials, continuously providing long-term cultivation and support to the enterprise. This “city patience” has earned the enterprise’s “investment perseverance”.
In the next 3-5 years, with the vigorous development of humanoid robots, new energy vehicles, and the medical and health sectors, the market size of PEEK will grow exponentially. Lightweight, high-strength, and high-temperature-resistant new materials will also lead the transformation of the next-generation materials and processes.
“At this time, we have decided to make the third investment in the new area and promote the integrated project of the entire industrial chain,” Yan Liuxin was full of confidence about this project. “In the future, we will also make zero-carbon factory construction an enterprise development goal. I believe we will eventually create a Chinese independent high-end PEEK brand, and make everyone recognize the innovative power of China’s chemical new materials.”
Yan Liuxin said that he believes after the completion of the integrated project, it will attract enterprises such as PEEK downstream composite material processing, high-end medical devices, humanoid robot components, etc. to gather, and at the same time, it will also drive the coordinated development of supporting industries such as fine chemical intermediates, special additives, and logistics and warehousing. He looks forward to forming a complete industrial ecosystem in the new area, including upstream raw material production, midstream resin synthesis, and downstream application processing.
Yan Liuxin and Xinhanxin Materials are like a persistent “gardener” who, in the aromatic ketone subsector of this specialized field, keeps tilling the soil and eventually yields abundant fruits. While Jiangbei New District is the silent “forest guardian”, with its high-quality business environment, it protects this innovative forest.
