Entering the factory area, the buildings in blue and white tones present a simple beauty, while the green and fresh landscape creates a pleasant environment. A long covered walkway connects all the buildings, allowing staff to walk freely between work and living areas without being affected by the weather.
The project manager of China Nuclear Industry Huaxing Construction Co., LTD., the construction company, introduced that this project is the largest scientific research and industrialization base in the field of power protection control and intelligent power equipment in China. It has been listed as a major project at both provincial and municipal levels for two consecutive years from 2023 to 2024. The total investment of the expansion project is 2 billion yuan, with a construction area of 194,000 square meters. It consists of five buildings, including high-rise factories, low-rise factories and shift buildings.
The project is positioned at a high level, the factory building project is special, and the site is small, which restricts the construction. Since the start of the project, the construction unit has overcome the construction difficulties of large-span roof truss beams. At the same time, in the face of the super-long floor and ground, new materials and new processes have been adopted to achieve high-standard forming requirements.
As a pilot project for intelligent construction at both provincial and municipal levels, the project has established a digital platform for smart supervision during the construction process, integrating all aspects of design, production and construction, achieving data connection with multiple departments and platforms, and building an efficient and collaborative construction and safety management system. Six unmanned elevators, which are being used for the first time in the ongoing construction projects in Jiangning, have improved the efficiency of personnel and material transportation. Wall panel robots assist in transporting and straightening wall panels, reducing the physical labor of workers. The tile-laying robot can complete the tiling of about 100 square meters of floor tiles in a day, and its efficiency is several times higher than that of manual labor.

In the two-story cafeteria, all kinds of facilities are in place, providing workers with a wide variety of delicious foods. The 11-story shift building is equipped with central air conditioning and washing machines in each dormitory. The bathrooms are separated into dry and wet areas, allowing shift workers to move in with peace of mind.
In addition, there is a huge indoor basketball court above the cafeteria, which can meet the daily exercise needs of workers or for enterprises to hold sports competitions.
Jiangning is building a world-class smart grid industrial cluster. It is expected that the revenue of the smart grid industry in the entire district will exceed 250 billion yuan by 2025. As a key enterprise of the smart grid industrial cluster in Jiangning Development Zone, NARI Relay Protection is one of the world’s top five suppliers of relay protection equipment for power systems.
This expansion will help NARI Relay Protection break through a series of key technologies in power control protection and industrial control. It is expected that after reaching full production capacity, the enterprise can achieve an additional output value of 2.5 billion yuan, injecting new impetus into the regional promotion of the upgrading of the smart grid industry.

Entering the project site located in Lishui Economic Development Zone, one can see modern factories rising from the ground one after another. This project covers an area of 55 mu and has a construction area of approximately 35,000 square meters. It is dedicated to building an internationally advanced intelligent high-end extruder production line. From the land listing in February this year, the simultaneous issuance of five certificates and the start of construction at the end of March, to the current full topping out of the main structure, it has only taken a little over eight months.
After the project is fully operational, it is expected to produce 800 sets of intelligent high-end complete extrusion equipment annually, achieving an annual output value of approximately 600 million yuan and a tax revenue of about 28 million yuan, injecting strong impetus into the regional industrial upgrading.
The new base is not only an expansion of production area, but also a modern industrial center integrating high-end R&D, intelligent manufacturing, product display and global technology exchange.
