This year marks his 12th year working and living in Lishui.

An unexpected reward from a trip
Back in the spring of 2011, Liu Xiaojun, who was running a business in Changzhou, was invited by a friend to visit Meihua Mountain in Lishui. This was his first time in Lishui. Recalling the scene at that time, Liu Xiaojun’s eyes sparkled: “The air is fresh and the environment is pleasant. I fell in love with this place at first sight.”
Not long after, Dongping Subdistrict of Lishui District made a special trip to Changzhou to carry out investment promotion activities, and Liu Xiaojun happened to be among the invited Changzhou merchants. This time, he not only gained a deep understanding of Lishui’s investment environment and preferential policies, but also felt Lishui’s warm invitation to merchants from outside the district.
In 2011, a new factory project with a total investment of nearly 300 million yuan and covering an area of 160 acres was settled in Lishui; in 2013, the new factory was completed and put into production, and the Changzhou company officially moved to Lishui… On this originally empty land, Nanjing MGM New Materials Co., Ltd. was built from scratch, and Liu Xiaojun also started his new entrepreneurial journey.

Nanjing MGM New Materials Co., Ltd. is a national high-tech enterprise specializing in the research, production and sales of PVC plastic flooring and laminate flooring . It has been recognized as a Nanjing Gazelle Enterprise and a municipal engineering technology research center . It is a leader in the field of flooring and furniture manufacturing .
At present, the company has more than 100 modern production lines and related supporting equipment, and nearly 400 employees. Liu Xiaojun led the R&D team to overcome technical difficulties one by one and successfully launched a number of new products with independent intellectual property rights. Among them, the environmentally friendly flooring material that can be made without cutting down trees reduces the deforestation of 40,000 mu and reduces carbon dioxide emissions by 60,000 tons each year . This new type of floor is popular at home and abroad due to its advantages such as anti-fouling and wear resistance, waterproof and flame retardant, quiet and beautiful appearance, with an annual production and sales of 20 million square meters and an output value of 500 million yuan.
Today, MGM New Materials has become a shining name card of “Made in Lishui”. The company’s overseas business has expanded rapidly, and Greenview Flooring International Co., Ltd. was established in the United States, covering the world’s largest SPC flooring market in North America and Central America .

A family settled in a city
Over the years, Liu Xiaojun has not only led the company to achieve outstanding results, but also deeply rooted in this land. His family members came to Lishui from Changzhou and settled there. After returning from studying abroad, his 25-year-old daughter Liu Qing joined Nanjing MGM New Materials Co., Ltd., and the family became veritable “new Lishui people.”
Liu Xiaojun loves the landscape and cultural heritage of Lishui. In his spare time from work, he often takes his family to experience the slow life that is unique to Lishui. Liu Xiaojun often sighs: “After more than 10 years in Lishui, I have felt a different kind of comfort and satisfaction. This is one of the reasons why I chose to stay here.”
