On October 12th, at the online theme publicity and interactive guidance event of the 2025 “Write the Chapter of Youth on the Land of the Motherland” large-scale ideological and political class, this “police dog” and its partner, the “Tiankui 1” explosion-proof humanoid robot, formed a team to participate in the safety inspection work.
It is said to be agile in movement because, compared with a real police dog, it has an additional six-degree-of-freedom mechanical arm that can extend up to 1.5 meters. Not only that, this “police dog” also has a strong reaction speed and adaptability. It is equipped with a lidar and a wide-angle camera, which can conduct 3D scanning of the surrounding environment. During the bomb disposal process, it can complete operations such as positioning, grasping and transferring according to preset programs or remote instructions.
As the saying goes, “The more skills you have, the better.” This police robot dog can also cross steep slopes of 40 degrees and continuous steps 20 centimeters high, and can stably perform tasks in complex environments. Compared with the traditional manual bomb disposal method, the robot dog can be remotely controlled, significantly reducing the risk of casualties. Meanwhile, it has high operational accuracy and can complete the transfer of explosives in a short time, quickly restore order at the scene, and reduce disturbance to the lives of surrounding residents.
“Robot dogs” give people a strong sense of security, and “robots” are no less impressive
The “Tiankui 1” explosion-proof humanoid robot is the world’s first robot to obtain the IIC T6 explosion-proof certification for operations in hazardous environments. This humanoid robot runs fast and steadily because it adopts a “half-human, half-vehicle” structure. Its lower body is a high-performance tracked chassis, which can adapt to various road conditions. The “robot” can be folded up to 2.2 meters in height and has a single-arm load capacity of over 25 kilograms. It’s no problem as a “strongman”. Not only can it lift heavy objects, but it can also perform various tasks including opening and closing valves, starting and stopping switches, and cutting and demolition through 14 types of end tools that can be quickly changed by itself. It plays a key role in working for people in dangerous links such as nuclear radiation, hazardous chemicals, fires, and suspicious explosives.
It is worth mentioning that the highly skilled robot dogs and robots are completely “made in Nanjing”.
The robot dog was jointly developed by the Patrol and Special Police Detachment of Nanjing Public Security Bureau and local enterprises such as Jiangsu Jianmi Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd. and other high-tech enterprises

In the early stage of development, the main body of the robot dog and the explosive disposal mechanical arm needed to be controlled separately, which was complex to operate and had limited efficiency. To achieve unified control, the bomb disposal special police and engineers worked together, repeatedly debugging the program, and eventually endowed the robot dog with super combat effectiveness.
