Walking along Baorun Road, the paulownia trees on both sides have turned yellow. The warm sunlight filters through the gaps between the branches and leaves, bathing the road surface. The leisure of winter lingers here along with the golden speckles, as if time has slowed down a little.
Recently, the Baorun Road in Dachang has been renovated and completed. Not only has the entire road surface been repaired, but also fifty theme wall paintings have been repainted on the walls along the street, adding a lot of vitality and artistic sense to this road.

After a thorough understanding of the residents’ demands, the new plan for this project has carried out targeted renovations around the existing pain points.
First, we conducted a systematic inspection and repair of the damaged walls along the road to enhance the overall safety and aesthetic appeal of the environment. Then, by scientifically adding gentle slopes at the junctions of sidewalks and carriageways, non-motorized vehicles and others are guided to park in an orderly manner in designated areas, so that vehicles do not need to park in the middle of the road. A staff member from the Safety Enforcement Office of Dachang Sub-district introduced.

Similarly, to prevent motor vehicles from driving on or parking on the sidewalks, a series of vehicle blocking posts have also been installed on both sides of Baorun Road. In addition, the entire Baorun Road has been re-paved with asphalt, which has solved the problems of potholes and cracks on the road surface at one time, significantly improving the smoothness and comfort of vehicle passage and extending the service life of the road.
Not only has the road been repaired, but the environment has also become more beautiful. The most significant change along this road is the wall paintings on both sides, which are extremely exquisite. Aunt Li said.

As Yangzhuang New Village beside Baorun Road is the family community of China Chemical Engineering 14th Construction Co., LTD., the 14th Construction Company and Dachang Sub-district jointly created a theme wall painting. Among them, the “Dachang Characteristic Landscape” section begins with the 14th Five-Year Plan, showcasing the landmark buildings and industrial history of Dachang.
“Including our unit, as well as Nanjing Chemical, Yangzi, Power Plant and Nanjing Iron and Steel, all the big factories have been condensed into these wall paintings.” ” Aunt Li said, “These are all memories of us people from Dachang.”
With exquisite composition and brilliant colors, as you stroll along Baorun Road, the changes of Dachang are vividly presented before your eyes.

In addition to the “Dachang Characteristic Landscape”, the wall paintings at the school gate revolve around “students’ study and life”. When creating, the staff deliberately referred to the campus scene of Nanjing University of Information Science and Technology Affiliated Experimental Primary School. In the painting, there are the concentrated expressions of students holding books while reading in the morning, as well as the vitality of skipping rope during breaks. The wall paintings on the east side of the road focus on “public welfare values”, covering volunteer services, respecting the elderly and caring for the young, and mutual assistance among neighbors.
Safe, clean and orderly, an old road has been reborn. Autumn has arrived, and leaves are fluttering. Many residents around have walked to Baorun Road and come to the painted wall to take photos and check in, capturing the change and beauty of this moment.
