A delegation from the Hong Kong Jiangsu Enterprises Association visited Jiangbei New Area

On the morning of November 1st, a delegation from the Hong Kong Jiangsu Enterprises Association visited Jiangbei New Area to conduct an inspection and exchange on areas such as the development of science and technology innovation industries, the construction and operation of parks, and the integration of industry, academia and research.

Not long ago, the 2025 Nanjing Jiangbei New Area International Investment and Cooperation Promotion Conference was held at the Yangtze River International Conference Center. The conference attracted nearly 500 heavyweight guests from 27 countries and regions around the world, representing a total of 300 multinational companies, to gather in Jiangbei to discuss development together. The arrival of the Hong Kong Jiangsu Enterprises Association was the first batch of guests to visit after the international investment promotion conference in the new district. As the only national-level new area in the province, Jiangbei New Area serves as the “bridgehead” for Nanjing’s opening up to the outside world and the “main battlefield” for scientific and technological innovation. Meanwhile, Hong Kong, as an international financial center and a hub for scientific and technological innovation, enjoys unique advantages in terms of talent, technology and capital. This inspection activity has built a direct dialogue bridge for enterprises from Jiangsu and Hong Kong, further deepening cooperation between the two sides in areas such as science and technology innovation, industry, and talent, achieving resource sharing, complementary advantages, and mutual benefit and win-win results.

At the meeting, relevant officials from the Hong Kong Jiangsu Enterprises Association, the Investment Promotion Bureau of the New District, and the Research and Innovation Park respectively made presentations on the construction of the Hong Kong Jiangsu Science and Technology Innovation Center, the industrial layout of Jiangbei New Area, and the development of the park. Members of the inspection team had in-depth interactions with relevant departments of the new district on topics such as enterprise settlement policies, scientific research project cooperation, and talent exchange mechanisms.
The Hong Kong Jiangsu Enterprises Association stated that it will play a good role as a bridge and link, organize more Hong Kong enterprises to enter and understand the new district, promote cooperation and exchanges between enterprises from both places in fields such as intelligent manufacturing, artificial intelligence, and biomedicine, and contribute to the high-quality development of Jiangbei New Area.

Before the meeting, the delegation visited the New District Planning Exhibition Hall and Jiangsu Jicui Intelligent Manufacturing Technology Research Institute Co., Ltd. successively for inspection. We listened carefully to the introduction of the latest spatial layout, industrial planning of the new district, as well as the enterprises’ efforts in key technology research and development and the “industry-university-research-application” collaborative innovation model.
