On August 27th, the “Smart Convergence in Lishui · Collaborative Innovation – Provincial Societies and Lishui District Science and Technology Project Cooperation and Matching Conference” was successfully held at the China (Nanjing) Eastern Agricultural Science and Technology Innovation Port, where a batch of science and technology cooperation projects were signed on the spot. Experts from provincial academic societies, scholars from universities and research institutions, and representatives of entrepreneurs gathered together to promote the in-depth integration of industry, academia and research, and to facilitate the coordinated development of the intellectual resources of academic societies and the industrial advantages of Lishui.

At the meeting, five provincial-level academic societies of Jiangsu Province, namely the Jiangsu Artificial Intelligence Society, the Jiangsu Pharmaceutical Society, the Jiangsu Mechanical Engineering Society, the Jiangsu Materials Society, and the Jiangsu Agricultural Society, respectively signed cooperation agreements with the Science and Technology Association of Lishui District. In the future, they will leverage the high-end intellectual resources of these provincial-level societies to assist Lishui in accelerating scientific and technological innovation and industrial upgrading, and achieving high-quality development. A responsible person from the provincial-level academic society stated that Lishui has demonstrated a strong sense of responsibility and a spirit of commitment in the investigation and connection of technical demands. This is the first time that the resources of a provincial-level academic society have been centrally connected to the district and county levels.

On the spot, local enterprises in Lishui such as Nanjing Skyworth Flat Panel Display Technology Co., LTD., Taining Ecological Agriculture Development (Nanjing) Co., LTD., and Nanjing Lanyu Agricultural Technology Co., Ltd. respectively reached 8 scientific and technological cooperation agreements with universities and research institutions such as Southeast University, Nanjing Agricultural University, and the Institute of Leisure Agriculture of Jiangsu Academy of Agricultural Sciences, covering multiple fields including new energy vehicles, intelligent manufacturing, and smart agriculture. The implementation of these projects will introduce advanced technological reserves and high-end talent resources to Lishui, further expand industrial clusters, enhance industrial competitiveness, and inject new impetus into regional economic development.
Some of the signed projects are full of highlights
The “Wheeled Dual-Arm Intelligent Companion Elderly Care Robot” research and development project, a collaboration between Southeast University and Nanjing Jinqi New Energy Power Research Institute, is expected to launch its first prototype by the end of September, providing key technical support for the smart elderly care industry.
The pear variety improvement and efficient planting project jointly carried out by Taining Ecological Agriculture Development (Nanjing) Co., Ltd. and Nanjing Agricultural University will introduce a batch of new pear varieties newly cultivated by the team of Academician Zhang Shaoling to the Lishui Pear Science and Technology Small Courtyard, helping to enhance the quality and efficiency of the pear industry in the entire district.
The “Smart Blueberry Valley” project, a collaboration between Nanjing Lanyu Agricultural Science and Technology Co., Ltd. and Nanjing Shuangji Agricultural Development Co., LTD., is an attempt to build on the blueberry technology transplanted by Professor Li Weilin of Nanjing Forestry University to the Lishui Blueberry Science and Technology Small Courtyard, which in turn “benefits” other enterprises. It is expected to double the blueberry yield and advance the maturity period by 2 to 3 months.
The tea garden soil improvement and matcha processing project jointly carried out by Nanjing Yueya Lake Agricultural Science and Technology Co., Ltd. and the Institute of Leisure Agriculture of the Provincial Academy of Agricultural Sciences focuses on soil ecological restoration and matcha refining techniques. The high-quality matcha powder produced will be supplied to related food enterprises, achieving a full-chain value enhancement from the tea garden to the dining table. Zhu Jun congratulated on the successful holding of the event and hoped that Lishui would play the role of a bridge and link, actively build a platform for communication and connection, and not only strengthen the cooperation among industry, academia and research to promote the transformation of scientific and technological achievements, but also optimize the connection and service for talents to help them grow faster. Fei Lili stated that Lishui will further improve the cooperation mechanism to provide convenient conditions for provincial academic societies and universities and research institutions to carry out work in Lishui. At the same time, she hopes that enterprises can seize the opportunity, apply advanced technologies to production practice, and continuously enhance their own strength.

Lishui has always regarded technological innovation as the primary driving force for development, and has been actively exploring a collaborative innovation path of “research and development in the main urban area and manufacturing in the suburbs” and “research in universities and transformation in enterprises”. The District Association for Science and Technology and the District Science and Technology Bureau have worked in collaboration to visit enterprises in groups based on three lists: “enterprise technology demands, matching of universities and research institutions, and policies for technology transfer”. They have identified 41 technology demands in fields such as intelligent manufacturing, new energy, and modern agriculture, and successfully connected 12 of them with provincial and municipal academic societies and experts. At the same time, they have regarded applying for projects for enterprises as an important means of providing science and technology services to enterprises. This year, 69 projects of various types have been submitted, which is four times that of the whole of last year.

In the future, Lishui will continue to optimize its service system and innovation ecosystem, create a promotion haven for new technologies and products from academic societies and universities, as well as a demonstration base for university-local cooperation, to facilitate the implementation of more scientific and technological achievements and the rooting of high-quality projects, and inject new impetus into high-quality development.
