Recently, the China Rural Professional and Technical Association announced the list of the latest batch of national science and technology institutes, and the Lishui Qingmei Science and Technology Institute in Jiangsu Province was successfully selected to become the first national science and technology institute in Lishui, which marks a key step in the development of the Qingmei industry in Lishui District in the field of science and technology empowerment
Jiangsu Lishui Qingmei Science and Technology Academy is located in Jingjiashan Natural Village, Di Village, Jingqiao Town, and is jointly built by Jiangsu Association for Science and Technology, Nanjing Agricultural University, Nanjing Association for Science and Technology, and Lishui District Association for Science and Technology.
Jingqiao Town, Di Village, has a superior geographical location and a strong scientific and technological atmosphere, the village not only has Fujing bayberry garden, Longyin Bay Ecological Agricultural Park and other fruit and plum planting bases, but also has a large number of special fruit production bases around, which is very suitable for the establishment of fruit tree science and technology courtyards in hilly and mountainous areas. “At present, the dormitory for graduate students of the science and technology academy settled in our village has been completed, which has created good conditions for high-quality talents to settle in.” Chen Chao, Secretary of the General Party Branch of Da Village, Jingqiao Town, introduced that with the active contact of the Lishui District Association for Science and Technology and the strong support of the provincial and municipal associations for science and technology, in December 2024, the Lishui Qingmei Science and Technology Academy in Jiangsu Province successfully landed in Da Village, becoming the first provincial science and technology courtyard in Lishui, and introduced the national chief expert of Qingmei, Professor Gao Zhihong of Nanjing Agricultural University, to lead the graduate student team to settle in for a long time. The Science and Technology Academy implements the development model of “Party Branch, Science and Technology Courtyard, Cooperative, and Farmer”, implements the service model of “zero distance, zero time difference, zero threshold, and zero cost”, and builds a scientific and technological innovation model with “based on Di Village, serving Jingqiao, and radiating the whole region” with the Science and Technology Academy as the main body, so as to open up the “last mile” from scientific research to practice.
“With the support of the Lishui District Support and Development of a New Rural Collective Economy Project, our village has built a bridge for scientific and technological achievements to move from the laboratory to the field by building a science and technology courtyard.” Chen Chao introduced that Dicun successfully applied for the 2024 Lishui District to support the development of a new rural collective economic project, and received a total of 1.7 million yuan of financial subsidies from the central, provincial, municipal and district governments, mainly used for the revitalization and utilization of idle houses, and upgraded the idle houses in Jingjiashan Natural Village, including 1 science and technology courtyard and 4 houses, with a total renovation area of about 1,226 square meters.
“In order to promote the transformation of scientific and technological achievements and build a complete industrial chain of the green plum industry, we have built nearly 3,000 square meters of green plum primary processing center, storage center and sorting center.” Chen Chao introduced, in the urban agricultural and rural departments with the strong support, at present, the green plum primary processing center has been completed and put into use, has reached a strategic cooperation with Yixing well-known green plum processing and export enterprises, the introduction of advanced production lines, then the products will be exported to Japan, South Korea and other international markets. After the completion of the project, it will become the largest primary processing center of green plum in Lishui District, with an estimated annual processing of 1,500 tons of green plum and an annual output value of 30 million yuan, which can bring 300,000 yuan of plant rental income to the village collective every year, and absorb 50 local villagers to achieve doorstep employment.
