The Jiangsu Province Regional Manufacturing Innovation Index takes 13 prefecture-level cities as the evaluation targets. From the four dimensions of innovation foundation, innovation subject, innovation output, and innovation environment, it comprehensively evaluates the innovation level of manufacturing in various regions, including 11 secondary indicators such as “the proportion of manufacturing added value in regional GDP”. The results show that among the four dimensions, Nanjing ranked first in the province in three dimension index scores, among which Nanjing scored 17.60, ranking first; Nanjing scored 26.8, ranking first; Nanjing scored 24.98, ranking eighth; Nanjing scored 20.00, ranking first.
In recent years, Nanjing has always adhered to the leading position of enterprise innovation, promoted the deep integration of the innovation chain, industrial chain, capital chain, talent chain, and built a technology innovation system with enterprises as the main body and the improvement of the six major capabilities of enterprise technological innovation, including the carrying capacity, research ability, transformation ability, achievement promotion ability, talent aggregation ability and comprehensive service ability of enterprise technology innovation. By supporting enterprises to accelerate R&D and innovation, strengthen the transformation and promotion of results, and increase technological innovation guarantees, we will comprehensively improve the technological innovation capabilities of enterprises.
In the next step, Nanjing will focus on building a main carrier area of the industrial science and technology innovation center with global influence, focus on the “4266” industrial system, continuously improve the six major capabilities of enterprises in technological innovation, and strive to promote the deep integration of scientific and technological innovation and industrial innovation, so that technological innovation capabilities can burst out with strong industrial development capabilities, and provide strong scientific and technological support for building a modern industrial system with advanced manufacturing as the backbone.
