During this hoisting operation, the longest single steel deck girder was 55 meters long, and the heaviest weight was 339 tons. Both its length and weight exceeded the highest record for the overall hoisting of steel deck girders across railways in China.
It is understood that the construction area is located above the century-old Linpu Railway. The angle formed by the bridge over the Linpu Railway and the existing railway is only 15°, which makes the lifting construction difficult, has high safety risks and requires precise workmanship.
“The project proactively connected with the railway department, held several technical and safety analysis meetings, and conducted rigorous investigations on on-site geological conditions, equipment conditions, and transportation conditions. Ultimately, a 1,600-ton crawler crane was used for overall lifting, and the lifting was completed in a total of 24 hours, greatly reducing the safety risks of railway-related construction.” said the project site manager.
