The New Materials Science and Technology Park is committed to optimizing the industrial structure and promoting transformation and upgrading. It has closed and withdrawn more than 20 chemical companies and vacated thousands of acres of land, forming a modern chemical industry system with petrochemical and carbon-one chemical industry chains as the main support and new materials as the main development direction.
In order to eliminate common environmental safety hazards, the New Materials Science and Technology Park, under the guidance of the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Ecology and Environment and the Nanjing Municipal Ecology and Environment Bureau, has formulated a “1+3” remediation plan, namely the “Eco-Environmental Comprehensive Remediation Work Plan” and three special work plans, including the construction of VOCs emission standard areas, the construction of water environment quality improvement and transformation standard areas, and the construction of hazardous waste disposal safety areas, to push the ecological environment quality to a higher level.
