At the Purple Mountain Laboratory, Zhou Hongbo had in-depth exchanges with Academician Liu Yunjie and Academician You Xiaohu, and learned in detail about the laboratory’s operating mechanism, research on major scientific and technological tasks, etc.
He said that high-level scientific and technological self-reliance is a major issue that General Secretary Xi Jinping has always been thinking about. As a major scientific and technological innovation platform, Zijinshan Laboratory must bear in mind the instructions, be grateful and forge ahead, adhere to the “four aspects”, gather innovative resources, optimize the system and mechanism, and achieve more breakthrough scientific and technological innovation and more efficient transformation of results. We must increase the application and cultivation of large scientific facilities, and better play the role of strategic scientific and technological forces in innovation and resource aggregation. All relevant departments of the city should fully support and serve as a strong backing, fully delegate power and empower scientists, and help accelerate breakthroughs in scientific and technological innovation.

He said that NARI Group is the leader in the construction of a new power system and should thoroughly study and implement the important instructions of General Secretary Xi Jinping during his inspection and research, continuously strengthen technical research, and continuously consolidate and enhance core advantages and industry discourse power in technology, equipment, standards, etc., to make greater contributions to ensuring energy security. Zhou Hongbo asked Jiangning District and relevant municipal departments to strengthen targeted services around chain-leading enterprises and better play the leading role of chain-leading enterprises in industrial development.
Zhou Hongbo also visited Nanjing Estun Automation Co., Ltd. and Zhengda Tianqing Nanjing Shunxin Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. to learn about the development history and business conditions of the companies and inquire about their needs. He asked the relevant departments to further optimize the contact and docking mechanism with universities and research institutes, to more closely integrate production, learning and research, and to provide high-quality and convenient technical support and talent guarantee for enterprises.
During the investigation, Zhou Hongbo listened to the overall situation of Jiangning District’s industrial space layout, annual major project construction and investment attraction, and stressed the need to do a solid job in sprinting for 2024 and planning various tasks for 2025, and not let down the construction of major projects.
