Meet at the CIIE 2024 Nanjing Open Innovation Cooperation and Exchange Conference.
At the two economic and trade events held in our city on November 6 and November 7, Nanjing, without exception, enthusiastically “promoted itself” to merchants at home and abroad. From highly efficient open channels, to high-level open platforms, to high-level open economy, Nanjing told the world about its good industrial foundation and market space, the economic and trade network that links the world, and the thriving new business forms and models, and invited friends at home and abroad to become Nanjing’s “city partners.”
At the meeting, many embassies and consulates, business associations and enterprises expressed their strong interest in and willingness to cooperate with Nanjing.
“Nanjing is an important cooperation partner of the European Union, and we have extensive cooperation in various fields such as chemicals, automobiles, machinery and equipment manufacturing, finance and commercial services.” Dane Holia Maxim, the Romanian ambassador to China, said that in recent years, the bilateral trade and exchanges between Romania and Nanjing have shown a steady growth trend, and he looks forward to further deepening pragmatic cooperation between the two sides in the fields of trade and investment.

On November 7, Nanjing held a supply-demand matchmaking meeting at the CIIE venue for the first time – the “Meet at CIIE 2024 Nanjing Special Economic and Trade Matchmaking Meeting”. At the meeting, foreign exhibitors from all over the world took the stage to promote their products and technologies in their respective fields.
As the host of this matchmaking meeting, Nanjing, from the perspective of industry-university-research cooperation, worked with scientific research institutions, universities, and bio-pharmaceutical companies to release a series of procurement needs, demonstrating Nanjing’s determination and strength to actively integrate into the global economic and trade system, continuously enhance its opening up to the outside world, and promote the “introduction” of high-quality resources and factors.
Foreign exhibitors from France, South Korea and Germany also brought their own wonderful presentations, demonstrating the strengths and advantages of their respective companies, and providing valuable cooperation opportunities and inspiration for companies in Nanjing and other parts of China.

At the Nanjing Open Innovation Cooperation and Exchange Conference on November 6, KFC Jiangsu Company and McDonald’s Jiangsu Company signed strategic cooperation agreements with Nanjing respectively; Siemens promoted the empowerment of Nanjing Xcelerator Science and Technology Innovation Center and signed Nanjing Xcelerator Science and Technology Innovation Center entry agreements with Shanghai Asu Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd., Shanghai Feixi Robot Technology Co., Ltd., Hezhe Intelligent Technology (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., Shanghai Newcool Information Technology Co., Ltd., and Guangzhou Anxinrongda Technology Co., Ltd.
○ According to a relevant person in charge of KFC, since the beginning of this year, KFC has been continuously promoting the opening of the first store of its innovative brands in Nanjing. In May, KFC’s independent coffee brand “Ken Yue Coffee” and innovative tea drink “Grandpa’s Tea” opened their first stores in Nanjing respectively. In just half a year, Ken Yue Coffee has been deployed in strategic locations such as university campuses and transportation hubs in Nanjing. Specialty stores such as Ken Yue Coffee Classmates Store and the country’s first Ken Yue Coffee pet-friendly theme restaurant have also been established in Nanjing one after another.
In September this year, Siemens signed a cooperation agreement with the People’s Government of Xuanwu District, Nanjing, and Suzhou Lande Real Estate Group Co., Ltd. The three parties will jointly build the Siemens Xcelerator Yangtze River Delta Science and Technology Innovation Empowerment Center in Nanjing. As the world’s first offline experience and application service center of Siemens Xcelerator, the center will fully display the application scenarios of industrial digital transformation and demonstration projects in the field of smart city construction, and is committed to becoming a comprehensive digital business service platform for building a diversified ecology, implementing precise empowerment, deepening international cooperation, activating technological innovation and promoting industrial upgrading. At the meeting, the ecological enterprise settlement agreement of the Siemens Xcelerator Yangtze River Delta Science and Technology Innovation Empowerment Center was signed on the spot.
