On September 12, the 2024 China International Fair for Trade in Services (hereinafter referred to as “CIFTIS”) with the theme of “Global Service Mutual Benefit and Sharing” officially kicked off in Beijing. A total of 85 countries and international organizations held exhibitions or conferences in the name of the national government or headquarters, and more than 450 of the world’s top 500 and industry leading enterprises participated in the offline exhibition, forming a multi-level activity framework system with the summit as the core, “exhibition + negotiation and promotion + results release” as the main body, and supporting activities as the supplement. As a major province of opening up and service trade, more than 130 institutions and enterprises in Jiangsu appeared online and offline at the CIFTIS.
On the afternoon of September 12, Tang Wenhong, assistant minister of the Ministry of Commerce, came to the Jiangsu exhibition area to learn more about the development advantages of the key areas of service trade in our province, as well as new technologies and new products in the fields of digital trade, cultural trade, and technology trade, and fully affirmed the development achievements of Jiangsu’s service trade.
The Jiangsu trading delegation fully excavated the resources of the CIFTIS, made full use of the exhibition platform, and actively promoted the high-quality participation of platform carriers and enterprises in the field of service trade in our province. The first is to actively participate in the selection of service demonstration cases of this year’s CIFTIS, and fully demonstrate the latest technologies, products, achievements and applications in the field of service trade in our province. Jiangsu Shunyu Information Technology Co., Ltd.’s “Shunyu Zijin · Nanjing Intellectual Property Globalization Service Platform” project was awarded the 2024 CIFTIS Business Innovation Demonstration Case. The second is to actively participate in the relevant supporting activities of the CIFTIS. Jiang Xin, deputy director of the Provincial Department of Commerce, led a delegation to participate in the opening ceremony and some forums of the CIFTIS, and the responsible comrades of the commerce departments of Nanjing, Changzhou, Suzhou, Nantong, Huai’an and other cities led the team to participate in the exhibition, among which the Suzhou trading sub-group organized nearly 130 people from all districts and counties in the city to visit, participate in the service trade development forum, the global green economic development forum and other theme forums, and coordinate the development of investment promotion and economic and trade docking.
In the next step, the Provincial Department of Commerce will focus on accelerating the construction of a two-way open hub with world cohesion, with the goal of “expanding quantity and improving quality, innovation and striving for excellence”, and continue to optimize the service trade policy system, promotion system and cultivation mechanism. Construct and improve the regional layout of the province with the coordinated development of “dual-core leadership and multi-point support”, introduce and cultivate a number of platform-based head enterprises with international influence and competitiveness in key areas, and comprehensively enhance the brand influence of “Suxin Service · Zhihui Global”.
