Executive Director and Chief Investment Officer of The Hong Kong and China Gas Company Limited

On August 20, Chen Tao, Director of the Provincial Department of Commerce, met with Chen Yinglong, Executive Director, Chief Investment Officer and Representative of the Chairman’s Office of The Hong Kong and China Gas Company Limited, and the two sides exchanged views on further deepening cooperation.

Chen Tao said that as a century-old enterprise, Hong Kong and China Gas has been deeply engaged in Jiangsu for many years, carrying out natural gas business in the industrial and commercial fields in Nanjing, Xuzhou, Changzhou, Suzhou and other cities, and actively committed to the research and development and production of green and low-carbon technologies in green and low-carbon fields such as energy conservation, environmental protection and renewable energy, making positive contributions to the high-quality economic development of Jiangsu. It is hoped that Hong Kong and China Gas will take the initiative to seize new opportunities for the development of Jiangsu, expand investment in Jiangsu, and help the construction of Jiangsu’s modern industrial system and the development of new productive forces. The Provincial Department of Commerce will continue to do a good job in providing relevant services to support the better development of Hong Kong and China Gas in Jiangsu.

Chen Yinglong thanked the Provincial Department of Commerce for its long-term support and assistance to the company’s development in Jiangsu. He said that Hong Kong and China Gas attaches great importance to the development of its business in Jiangsu, and hopes to increase investment in energy conservation and emission reduction fields such as biofuels in the future to promote the development of circular economy and renewable energy. Hong Kong and China Gas is willing to further strengthen its cooperation with the Provincial Department of Commerce and continue to contribute to the economic and social development of Jiangsu, especially the development of green and low-carbon industries. The two sides also exchanged views on the export of relevant products.
