This growth rate is higher than the national average, which fully demonstrates the strong resilience and vitality of Jiangsu’s economy. In the first half of the year, the total retail sales of consumer goods in the province reached 2,417.84 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 4.9%. Driven by the trade-in policy for consumer goods, the retail sales of household appliances and audio-visual equipment above designated size increased by 11.0% year-on-year, and the retail sales of new energy vehicles increased by 35.5%, accounting for 31.0% of the retail sales of automobiles.
