Building 3 of CIMC Core Chuangyuan is always busy.
This is the Nanjing base of Haiguang Xinzheng high-speed optical Module (Nanjing Haixincheng). Into the 8,600 square meters of ten thousand grade dust-free workshop, several production lines are running orderly, the staff in front of the machine concentration operation, after eutectic, mount, coupling, testing and other dozens of processes, batches of high-speed optical modules off the line packing, sent to all parts of the country.

“Since it started production, it has hardly stopped for a day.” According to the relevant person in charge, in recent months, the base has been in the state of “exploding orders”, and the workshop machines are non-stop 24 hours. Every month, more than 100,000 optical modules are sent out from here.

Orders keep running in the light
Recently, I’m sure we’ve all heard the phrase “Stand in the light, not just stand there.”
This sentence is widely circulated in the capital market hot meme, refers to the optical module track. This is a kind of optoelectronic device that uses optical signals to achieve high-speed data transmission. At present, with the explosive growth of AI computing power, optical modules have become the most critical “highway” for data transmission.

Haixincheng is running in the “light”. As the manufacturing hub in Jiangbei where Haifuanchip, the first company of AI silicon optical interconnection in Hong Kong, is deployed, Haifuanchip is the core production capacity carrier of the Group. From silicon optical chip design, wafer testing to optical module packaging and testing, the whole chain is independent and controllable.
According to the relevant person in charge, this mode of “building the foundation and building together” is the most hardcore competitiveness of enterprises and the key to winning market recognition for products. At present, we have delivered 400G and 800G optical modules in batches, not only entering the global mainstream data center market, but also becoming an important supplier to mainstream Internet companies in North America and China.

Customers are all over the world, and orders are pouring in. “Every day it’s a rush.” Factory director Liang Senrong said with a smile that since the production started in October last year, Haixincheng has expanded its team and production capacity several times, and the equipment in the workshop is becoming more and more full. In order to keep up with the steady flow of orders, they also launched a new round of production line automation upgrade.
“The equipment is in place at the end of May, and after the upgrade and acceptance, it is expected that the first batch of automatic line products can be put into production in mid and late July.” Liang Senrong introduced that the digital transformation of the workshop is also carried out synchronously, and the yield and equipment status of each production line are monitored in real time. “Overall capacity is expected to increase by another 30 percent or so.” ‘he said.

Not just production, but layout
Haixincheng’s layout in Jiangbei is not just manufacturing.
At present, the AI computing power cluster is moving towards the Wanka level, the demand for network interconnection is exploding, and Haixincheng is also accelerating the industrialization of the next generation technology. NPO (Near-packaged optics) and CPO (Co-packaged optics) are the future that they are working on.
According to reports, previously, 1.6T silicon optical program has been completed in Jiangbei trial production. According to the plan, the company will further promote the research and development and production of new products. At present, the sample of the optical engine has been packaged and sent to customers for testing. It is expected to produce in small quantities in the second half of the year and achieve large-scale delivery in 2027.

Manufacturing and research and development at the same time, a strong talent team will become the key.
“Next month, we will have more than 30 new research and development colleagues, all fresh graduates in optics.” Wang Ziyao, vice general manager of Haixincheng, introduced that 30% of the company’s R&D personnel are master’s or above. They plan to cooperate with the corresponding universities and hold the Nanjing National IC Core Fire platform to guide talents.
Traction is also happening. As a chain owner, Haixincheng has been looking for partners “at home” and has communicated with many local enterprises. In addition, the company will deepen cooperation with the new area to jointly attract upstream and downstream enterprises such as high-end materials and precision manufacturing. A new ecosystem is poised for development, and Jiangbei’s industrial chain has also gained “core momentum”.

By the end of the interview, it was lunchtime and the company cafeteria was lined up.
“When it first started production last year, the canteen only had one meal line. Now it has four.” Liang Senrong smiled about the change in his eyes. By the end of the third quarter of this year, the company expects to attract more than 200 people, he said. “The menu may have to be expanded.”
From one meal line to four meal lines, how can this “growing pains” not be another footnote of Haixin Chengcheng’s full production line and full orders?
Speaking of the future, Liang also mentioned the Nanjing North Railway Station. “When we talk to our customers now, we always talk about the North railway Station — just off the high-speed train and here we are, very close.” In his emotion, it is a simple and vivid expectation: more people and more ecological partners will grow and move forward together in Jiangbei. Everyone’s next stop is in the “light”.
