The new model of the SAIC Shangjie brand has officially gone into mass production in Nanjing.

On April 28th, the mass production event of SAIC Passenger Vehicle Nanjing Branch was held in Jiangning District. The Z7/Z7T models of the Shangjie brand officially entered the mass production stage. Mayor Li Zhongjun, Vice Mayor Jiang Min and Zhang Yun, as well as Vice General Economist and Passenger Vehicle General Manager of SAIC Group, attended the event.

For a long time, Nanjing has maintained a deep strategic partnership with SAIC Group. In July last year, SAIC Group actively embraced the development trends of automotive electrification and intelligence, establishing the SAIC Passenger Vehicle Nanjing Branch. Utilizing the mature manufacturing system base of the group in Nanjing, it constructed a vehicle production base project, fully promoting the upgrading and modification of production capacity and products. The factory area covers 635,000 square meters, with an annual production capacity of 210,000 passenger vehicles.

The newly launched Shangjie Z7/Z7T is a strategic model jointly developed by SAIC Group and Harmony Auto, focusing on the young consumer group. The Shangjie Z7/Z7T is equipped with advanced technologies such as Huawei’s Tu Ling platform and ADS5.0 Harmony Intelligent Cabin. It is positioned as a mid-sized all-electric sedan, and Z7T is the first hatchback model of Harmony Auto.
