A great start! Sales in the first quarter increased by 40% year-on-year.

In recent years, with the vigorous development of industries such as artificial intelligence and new energy, the demand for power infrastructure has remained strong, bringing new growth opportunities to the wire and cable industry. Zhongce Cable Group Co., Ltd., located in the National Agricultural High-tech Zone of Nanjing, is achieving steady growth in sales by adhering to quality, deepening its channels, and making astute arrangements for emerging markets. This demonstrates the vigorous vitality of traditional manufacturing enterprises moving towards “newness”.

Entering the production workshop of Zhongce Cable, 7 automated production lines are running at high speed. Copper rods go through processes such as drawing, twisting, and insulation extrusion, transforming into various voltage levels and model specifications of wire and cable products. Currently, the enterprise can produce 300,000 meters of wire and cable products every day. The products are sold throughout the country and have been exported to more than a dozen countries and regions such as Southeast Asia, Africa, Europe, and America.

“Sales in the first quarter reached 95.25 million yuan, representing a year-on-year increase of 40%. We aim to increase the annual output by 50% compared to 2025,” said Fu Jida, the chairman of Zhongce Cable Group Co., Ltd.
He pointed out that changes in market demand were a significant reason for the increase in sales volume. The popularization of new energy vehicles has driven the demand for charging stations and related cables; the construction of new energy power generation projects such as photovoltaic and wind power has increased the demand for power transmission; the new infrastructure fields like offshore wind power and energy storage have also opened up new markets for special cables. “AI large models and data centers consume a huge amount of electricity, but ultimately, power transmission cannot do without cables. This is an unchanging cornerstone of the industry and also an opportunity for us.”

Behind the increase in sales lies the continuous investment in technological innovation and the commitment to quality. As a national high-tech enterprise and a provincial specialized, innovative, and small and medium-sized enterprise, Zhongce Cable, which integrates the research and development, design, manufacturing, and sales of cables and wires, has over ten thousand product specifications and 37 product patents. Since 2017, the company has carried out intelligent transformation of its production lines and continuously iterated, achieving a doubling of production efficiency.
In the inspection and testing center and the laboratory, technicians are conducting insulation layer tests. “We have inspections at every step, from drawing to finished product, at least five checkpoints,” said He Shiju, the director of quality control at Zhongce Cable. Taking a 2.5 square millimeter cable as an example, the average thickness of the insulation layer must not be less than 0.8 millimeters, and the thinnest part must not be less than 0.62 millimeters. “If the thickness does not meet the standard or the eccentricity is too large, the entire batch of products will be strictly scrapped and will not be allowed to enter the market.” It is precisely this almost strict adherence to standards that has enabled Zhongce Cable’s products to maintain a 100% pass rate in various market inspections at all levels, earning a good reputation in the market.

The development of enterprises cannot be separated from a favorable business environment. “We feel a strong sense of belonging when developing here,” Fu Jida said. The support and “personalized services” provided by the Agricultural High-tech Zone have strengthened the company’s confidence in deeply investing and continuously developing here. In 2025, Zhongce Cable invested 200 million yuan to launch a project for expanding the production line of 8,000 tons of wire and cable per year. The project will build 5 new factory buildings covering an area of 30 mu, and is expected to be completed and put into operation in May 2026.

In the future, Zhongce Cable will continue to “strengthen its internal capabilities”, promoting the development of its products towards higher-end and specialized directions through technological research and development. At the same time, it will actively expand into products related to new energy such as charging cable and photovoltaic cable, strengthen collaboration with enterprises in the local new energy vehicle industry chain, and aim for the goal of “hundreds of cities and ten thousand stores”, continuously expanding its sales territory, consolidating its development foundation, and embarking on a sustainable development path of “the stronger becomes stronger”.
