Hardworking people start their work earlier in spring, and the time for striving forward has arrived. As the Spring Festival approaches, in Nanjing National Agricultural High-tech Zone, the production lines of enterprises are running at full speed, with the sounds of machinery reverberating continuously. A picture of “speeding up production, seizing progress, and promoting commissioning” is unfolding gradually. This series of reports focuses on the enterprises in the Agricultural High-tech Zone striving for the “opening-day success” of the first quarter with an energetic attitude, laying a solid foundation and injecting strong momentum for the high-quality development of the whole year.
Entering the badminton production workshop of Nanjing Yaxiong Sports Products Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Nanjing Yaxiong), a scene of great activity in production greets one’s eyes. Intelligent instruments are running at high speed, and workers are busy and orderly in their respective positions, carrying out the production of badminton. From raw material classification, arching, inserting balls, to testing balls and packaging… 38 processes are closely linked, and boxes of high-quality finished badminton products keep rolling off the production line, about to be sent to customers all over the world.

This year, our order volume has increased by approximately 50% compared to the same period last year. The orders for 2026 are fully booked, and many customers are queuing up for them. It is estimated that the order volume will increase by another 30% to 50% next year. The company has been operating at full capacity without interruption and produces about 1,000 dozen (12,000) badminton rackets every day. The annual production is around 360,000 dozen. “Xu Linan, the general manager of Nanjing Yaxiong Company, explained, “Currently, as badminton has gradually become a popular sport for the general public, the badminton industry has a wide audience and a favorable development trend. As a globally renowned badminton brand, Nanjing Yaxiong Company has gained the love of many badminton enthusiasts with its excellent product quality. Its products are sold in more than 20 countries including Denmark, the United Kingdom, Germany, Japan, and Malaysia. “We adopt a full-chain production model, covering from raw material procurement to the processing of semi-finished and finished products, as well as packaging and delivery. This production model ensures the standardization and reliability of badminton product quality.” In 2026, the company expects to achieve an output value of 250 million.

Technological innovation has enabled traditional manufacturing industries to accelerate their transformation and upgrading. Xu Linan introduced that Nanjing Yaxiong had already started equipment research and development over a decade ago, using intelligent equipment to enhance production efficiency and optimize product processes. “For example, our intelligent sorting machine, one machine can replace 10 people, increasing production efficiency by 10 times. We collaborated with Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics to develop a wind tunnel machine, which simulates the aerodynamic principles of aircraft and uses a badminton as a small aircraft. The equipment designs a blowing system and pipes to blow the badminton up, to test its flight stability, thereby continuously optimizing key processes such as thread insertion and ball mouth diameter control.”
In the future, Nanjing Yashulong will continue to enhance its research and development efforts and update its equipment. At the same time, it will strictly control product quality to improve its market competitiveness with better quality and lower costs, and create greater benefits. The company will also actively fulfill its social responsibilities and strive to promote badminton sports, allowing more people to enjoy the health and joy brought by this sport.
The strong momentum of production and sales growth and innovation-driven development of Nanjing Yashulong is a vivid illustration of the High-tech Zone’s successful implementation of the “Fifteen-Five” opening-up strategy and its determination to achieve a “good start”. In 2026, the High-tech Zone is fully implementing the “said-so-doing, determined-to-do” pragmatic style, fully implementing the “two zones and one area” strategic positioning and transforming it into a strong driving force for achieving a “good start”, providing solid support for building a new highland of innovation and development.
