Lishui District, belongs to Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province. Located in the south-central part of Nanjing, the district covers an area of 1,067 square kilometers, with three towns and five streets under its jurisdiction. With convenient transportation, Lishui District is a three-dimensional hub city integrating airports, railroads, rail transportation, highways and waterways; the ecological environment in the district is good, with a forest coverage rate of 35.88%, air quality up to the national secondary standards, water quality up to the national secondary standards, known as the “Natural Oxygen Bar”.
Lishui was established in the 11th year of Kaihuang of Sui Dynasty (591 A.D.), the poet Bai Jikang of Tang Dynasty, the lyricist Zhou Bangyan of Song Dynasty, and the writer Yuan Mei of Qing Dynasty were the governors of Lishui, Cui Zhiyuan, the patriarch of Confucianism, was the lieutenant of Lishui, and the literati of all ages, such as Xie Lingyun, Li Bai, Yan Zhenqing, Yang Wanli and so on, traveled and left a lot of poems in praise of Lishui. There are many cultural relics and sites such as Wuxian Temple, one of the four hundred and eighty temples of the Southern Dynasties, Wuxian Mountain cliff carvings, Tiansheng Bridge, Rouge River, Changle Bridge, Putang Bridge, Yongshou Pagoda, Emperor’s Son-in-law’s Tomb and other cultural relics such as Zhongshan Hao, School Officials’ Monument, Luoshan Dailong, and Mingjue Iron Painting and Wiring Technique.

Tianshengqiao Scenic Spot is located in Honglan Street, Lishui District, Nanjing, which is a national AAAA level tourist attraction and Grand Canal National Cultural Park. In 1393 A.D., in order to connect the canal transportation in Jiangnan area, Zhu Yuanzhang ordered Chongshan Hou to “supervise the division to excavate the artificial canal”. After repeated observation and research, the final project was arranged in Rouge Gang, where “the stone has a rouge color”. But here the geology is complex, rock hard, difficult to excavate. The Rouge River, known as the “flowing vein of Lishui”, has been listed as one of the forty-eight scenic spots of New Jinling.

Nanjing Wuxi Mountain Scenic Spot
Wuxi Mountain Scenic Spot is located in the south new area of Lishui District, Nanjing City, with a total area of about 3 square kilometers (of which the core area is 2.5 square kilometers), an average elevation of 100 meters, with more than 10 lakes of different sizes, such as the Tianchi Pond, Wuxi Lake, and the spectacular landscape of the pine forests and the largest bamboo sea in Nanjing, with the forest coverage rate of 95.6%, and the air quality maintaining a first-class standard all year round. The scenic area has clear water and deep cultural heritage. Since ancient times, it has been known as “the first scenic spot of Lishui”. Han Xizai, a politician of the Southern Tang Dynasty, Zhou Bangyan, a famous lyricist of the Northern Song Dynasty, Tao An, a university scholar of the early Ming Dynasty, and other literati such as Lin Gudu, Zhou Lianggong, Dao Yvette, Yuan Mei and so on have all traveled here, leaving behind a lot of scenic spots and monuments such as the ancient Wusiqi Temple, the Dragon Pool, the reading platform of Han Xizai, and the group of cliff carvings, etc. The scenic spot is approved by the National Forestry Administration in 2015, and the forest coverage is 95.6%. The scenic spot was approved as a national forest park in 2015, an ecotourism demonstration area in Jiangsu Province in 2017, and a national 3A-level tourist attraction in 2020.

East Mount Lushan Guanyin Temple
East Lushan Mountain is one of the eight scenic spots of ancient Zhongshan: the peak of East Lushan Mountain, which is named after Yan Ziling, a famous scholar of the Eastern Han Dynasty, who built a hut and lived in seclusion here, and is the source of the 100-mile Qinhuai River. Guanyin Temple was built in the Yuan Dynasty, with a long history and a flourishing incense burner. The new Guanyin Temple is the lower courtyard of Jiming Temple, which is backed by East Lushan Mountain, facing Zhongshan Lake, with a grand scale of construction, and is the holy place of Buddhism in Lishui.

Yongshou Temple Pagoda
Yongshousi Pagoda is located in Yongshousi Pagoda Garden in Lishui city, which is a cultural relics protection unit of Jiangsu Province. Yongshousi Pagoda is a fengshui pagoda, built in the thirty-fourth year of the Wanli reign of Ming Dynasty (1606), initially known as Yongchang, and changed to the present name by imperial decree. Puchong Bridge
Located in Lishui District of Nanjing, Putang Bridge is a national key cultural relics protection unit and the only nine-hole urn bridge in Jiangsu Province. The bridge was built during the Zhengde period of the Ming Dynasty and is also known as Shangyi Bridge. Since the Ming Dynasty, temple fairs have been held in Nanjing, of which Lishui Putang Bridge Temple Fair is the most representative.

Dajinshan Scenic Area
Dajinshan Scenic Spot (Dajinshan National Defense Park) is located in the southern suburb of Nanjing, east of Lishui and the source of Qinhuai, covering an area of 66 hectares, snuggling up with Dongping Lake, the second largest artificial lake in Nanjing, with a beautiful view of the lake and mountains.
The park was founded in 1990, as the first private county-level national defense park in the country. 2008, the park was expanded and reconstructed, and successfully created a national AAA-level tourist attraction. Located in Baima Town, Lishui District, Nanjing, Zhou Garden is China’s largest private collection museum, built by Mr. Zhou Hetong, a British-Chinese, and is a national AAAA level tourist attraction. Seokchu Movie Base
Jiangsu (National) Future Film and Television Culture and Creative Industrial Park, also known as Jiangsu Radio and Television Shiqiu Film and Television Base, is a key cultural industry project in Jiangsu Province.
