Today, the release event of “AI· Mirror World – Nanjing Artificial Intelligence Ecological Street” (hereinafter referred to as “the Street”) was held in Yunmi City, Yuhuatai District. Nearly 200 guests, including top experts in the field of artificial intelligence, representatives of well-known enterprises, and heads of universities, research institutions and financial institutions, jointly witnessed Nanjing taking a new and important step in the construction of the artificial intelligence industrial ecosystem.

As the first software city, at the beginning of this year, Nanjing established the Office for Promoting the Breakthrough of the Artificial Intelligence (Software) Industry, aiming at the goal of “building a trillion-yuan software and information service industry”, and focusing on the layout of tracks such as “artificial intelligence + software” and intelligent robot software.

China (Nanjing) Software Valley is an important cluster area for Nanjing’s software and information industry. In recent years, it has been continuously promoting the development of artificial intelligence.

The AI· Mirror World – Nanjing Artificial Intelligence Ecological Street, which has recently settled in the North Park of Software Valley, is a new highland for the agglomeration and ecological cultivation of the artificial intelligence industry that Nanjing is striving to build. Positioned as “two zones and one engine”, it aims to create a national benchmark for the intelligent transformation of the software industry, an innovation source, and a demonstration highland for vertical application innovation within an area of 1.9 square kilometers.

It is reported that the block will be developed into a “test field” for AI technology and a “showroom” for AI to empower production and life, forming an innovation closed loop of “technology research and development – scene testing – application verification – showroom output”, and achieving a virtuous cycle from technological innovation to social value creation.

Objective

2025-2027: Complete infrastructure construction and the aggregation of factor resources; Launch 20 typical application cases of “AI+ software” and over 20 benchmark application scenarios;

From 2027 to 2030: Gather 1,000 AI upstream and downstream enterprises, recruit 100,000 AI talents, launch 500 representative vertical intelligent products such as industry large models and industry intelligent agents, achieve core industries with an output value exceeding 100 billion yuan, and related industries with an output value exceeding 300 billion yuan.

After 2030: AI technology will fully empower urban governance and industrial upgrading, creating the “No. 1 district” for the integration of digital and real economies in the province and the “No. 1 center” for artificial intelligence in the city.

AI is an interdisciplinary technical field. Its development cannot do without the support of multiple core elements or the innovation of core technologies.

In recent years, Nanjing has launched a series of policies, including the “Implementation Plan for the Construction of the Nanjing National Artificial Intelligence Innovation Application Pilot Zone” and the “Action Plan for Further Promoting the Innovative Development of Artificial Intelligence in Nanjing (2024-2026)”, focusing on core elements and locking the artificial intelligence industry chain as the key engine driving the city’s future development.

At the block release event, the Nanjing Artificial Intelligence Ecological Block Element Support Project and the AMD ROCm Laboratory were officially inaugurated.

The block element support projects mainly composed of the Nanjing Computing Power Scheduling Platform Service Base, the Nanjing Data Element Innovation Center – Artificial Intelligence Ecosystem Base, and the Software Valley · Sugu AI Intelligent Integration Service Center will integrate multiple elements such as computing power, data, and capital to provide high-quality data, funds, and technical support for the development of artificial intelligence enterprises in the block.

The AMD ROCm Lab, which has just settled in the neighborhood, is one of AMD’s three global innovation hubs. It will continue to make efforts in strengthening the ROCm open-source ecosystem, creating more comprehensive scene optimization solutions and an open ecosystem, and helping the Software Valley build a complete industrial ecosystem covering multiple levels such as hardware, software and applications.

Talents are the primary resource for the prosperity of a neighborhood, and industrial projects are the key driving force for its development.

During the event, Software Valley signed a “Cooperation Agreement on Artificial Intelligence Talent Training Base” with Southeast University and Jiahuan Technology Co., LTD. This time, the three parties will jointly build an artificial intelligence talent training base. By jointly developing a curriculum system, sharing teaching staff and computing power resources, they will promote the transformation of scientific research achievements and the precise supply of talents, and create a sustainable regional AI talent ecosystem.

In terms of industrial projects, Software Valley and 12 enterprises have completed the signing of the “First Batch of Industrial Projects to Settle in Nanjing Artificial Intelligence Ecological Street” in a concentrated manner, marking the official entry of the street into the substantive operation stage.

Jiangsu Zhongxie Intelligent Technology Co., LTD., which has been deeply involved in the acoustic industry for 20 years, plans to invest a total of 100 million yuan to locate the “AI+ Acoustics” integrated large model project in the Nanjing Artificial Intelligence Ecological Street.

The regional headquarters will focus on GPU computing power devices, high-performance servers and AI application solutions, promoting the localization and implementation of AI computing power products and domestic server solutions in fields such as education, scientific research and healthcare.
