DESCRIPTION:Successful “Pitch Day” Salon Held in Nanjing \nOn January 11th\, 2024\, a successful “Pitch Day” themed salon was held in the Lishui Hi-Tech Park in Nanjing. Over 100 international students from universities like Hohai University\, Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics\, and Nanjing University of Information Engineering gathered for the event. \n \nThe students specialized in various fields like water conservation engineering\, environmental management\, computer engineering\, international trade\, civil engineering and more. At the salon\, the Nanjing Municipal Bureau of Science and Technology’s International Talent Exchange Center explained China’s foreign work permit policies and processes. Through case studies and Q&A sessions\, attendees gained clarity on applying for Chinese work visas. \nA French couple from the Nanjing Ansaio Railway Transportation Technology Co. shared their experiences settling down in Nanjing and building their dreams in Lishui. Drawn to the area’s natural beauty\, talent ecosystem\, and other assets\, they chose Lishui as the location to launch their own startup. Another key talent\, Anderson\, had a similar transnational journey with his Chinese spouse. \n \nFOISAL\, a student from Bangladesh currently working at Nanjing Xiaohu Technology Service Co.\, also provided insights. He leveraged his professional expertise and language skills to help build TigerandTech.com\, powering the company’s overseas collaborative innovation efforts. \nAs a platform supporting foreign entrepreneurship and employment\, Xiaohu Tech has aided over 45 international talents in starting enterprises and nearly 30 in securing jobs. Representatives gave details on business launch and visa application processes\, benefiting all attendees. \n \nThe event concluded with talent from various universities sharing their home cultures and playing traditional Chinese games. Through such activities and services\, Xiaohu Tech tells Nanjing’s story and spreads China’s voice\, facilitating scientific\, cultural\, and people-to-people exchanges.
